Web Vendor - Scope Of Responsibility

APOLLO SOCIETY BY LAW DEFINITION:

"Position of Web Vendor for Society will report to The Communications Director and will not be a member of the Apollo Board of Directors with a one year term from November 1 to October 31. This position will have full responsibility for web hosting.
When the position of Web Vendor is vacant, the Board of Directors shall appoint two Board of Director members in addition to the Communications Director as a Selection Committee, which will conduct a candidate search. This search will include notice to members of the Society in good standing with an email on file with Secretary requesting resumes. This Selection Committee will review candidates and submit recommendation to Apollo Board of Directors for approval."

Specific Duties:

Ensure the Apollo web site is accessible and all web features are functioning properly.
Provides documentation on the web host security being utilized.
Provides documentation on the web host capacity, equipment, software, redundancy, and reporting infrastructure.
Proactively pursues Apollo web site registration with search engines.
Updates web site changes minor in nature submitted by the Webmaster are updated within 5 business days.
Updates web site changes major in nature submitted by the Webmaster are updated within 10 business days.
Backs up the Website weekly and provides the webmaster with a backup CD of the Website monthly.
Creates and maintains email accounts and alias for the organization. Changes to these email accounts and alias to be completed within five business days from receipt of the changes from the webmaster.

Board Meeting Requirements:

Notifies the Webmaster of any changes in the vendors capacity, equipment, or redundancy.
Provides monthly web site statistics to the Webmaster.

Miscellaneous Duties:

Responds to all correspondence in a timely fashion.
Particpates in Apollo activities and social events as much as possible.
Other duties as agreed by the Board Of Directors.
