Have you always wondered about yoga? What really is down-dog? Do you think touching your feet with your legs straight is just humanly impossible? For the third year, Robin Campbell Ziffer is offering an exclusive yoga class to Apollo members and friends. This class comprises of weekly 90-minute sessions that focus on basic poses and proper alignment, and are conducted in a fun and supportive environment. This is a multi-level yet beginner friendly class. No previous experience is required.

Spring 2012 Schedule

Open to all levels

Dates: Mondays, May 7th – June 25th, 2012 (No class on May long weekend)
Time: 7:40pm-9:15pm
Location: World Tree Studio, 812 Edmonton Trail NE. There is parking available behind the building or on the side streets.
Cost: $98 (7 sessions @ $14); $18 Drop-ins. Apollo annual membership is required.

About the instructor

Robin has studied a variety of styles of yoga since 1996. In 1999, he met his teacher, Yogi Vishvketu, at Yoga Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. After returning from India, he moved to Toronto where he completed a 250-hour Yoga training in Vinyasa flow at the Yoga Sanctuary. He also spent some time volunteering at the Kripalu Yoga Centre.
In 2004, Robin took the 200-hour teacher training with World Conscious Yoga Family at Kanv Ashram. The following year, he completed his advanced training with Yogi Vishvketu in Rishikesh, and then went to Pune for a month to study Yoga Therapy and anatomy with Dr. Nivedita Pingle. Robin has completed a 100-hour training in Pilates mat work with Steve Bryson (kinesiologist) and has furthered his knowledge and understanding of body movement and mechanics.
In 2006-2009, Robin has assisted the World Conscious Yoga Family Teacher Training course, and helped to facilitate the Philosophy component alongside Yogi Vishvketu. Currently, Robin is exploring his interest in mind-body psychology and has completed an MA program of Counselling Psychology.
